Because our stainless steel digging and border spades and forks are so much taller than standard and the Apprentice shorter, we have introduced an intermediate height of tool which we term ‘Graduate’.
Traditionally, in less politically correct times, these would have been termed ‘Ladies’ spades and forks. They are perfect for those gardener’s of restricted height or strength and for more generalised use in raised beds or congested flower beds and borders.
Rather than simply reduce the height of the wooden shaft, we have scaled the tools down in every dimension, to ensure the perfect combination of strength and balance. When you try one out, you really can tell the difference!
