Speciality Tools

This collection is inspired by a wonderful selection of antique family heirlooms. We wanted to develop innovative tools that have the look of antiquity but work as well, if not better, than the modern equivalents.

These products represent a genuine opportunity to add value, interest and tremendous utility to your collection of garden tools.

The Long & Short Handles Bulb Planters. These innovative tools make light work of the Spring and Autumn bulb planting seasons!

Carbon Steel Planting Spade. Everyone knows what it is - and calls it something different. It is ideal for planting, transplanting, post digging and working in restricted areas.

Stainless Steel Onion Hoe. Perfect for ‘Banking-up’ the onions.

Stainless Steel Daisy Grubber. A real heirloom that provokes much discussion and interest amongst the family, as well as uprooting those pesky daisies.

Stainless Steel Pistol Grip Dibber. Traditionally the dibber was fashioned from a broken spade or fork shaft. Our Pistol Grip dibber is purpose made and it shows! It allows for rapid and accurate planting of plant plugs, seedlings, small plants and bulbs, even some smaller seed potatoes. The tapered tip can also be used to fashion a simple seed drill. Our dibber is immensely comfortable, well balanced and very easy to use. The tip is reinforced with an integral metal cone that will ensure the tool becomes an heirloom!

Traditional Beesom Broom. The Joseph Bentley catalogues of the 1930’s featured a ‘premium’ broom - we have recreated it. As well as boasting a smooth, high quality Ash shaft it actually works rather beautifully too!

Carbon Steel Potato Fork. A natural additional to the range. The tapering tines, splayed and rounded at the tip, are perfect for harvesting the mature tubers.

Carbon Steel Long Handled Old English Spade. A superb version of the tools illustrated in medieval woodcuts and taken to the New World by the Pilgrim Fathers. Ours boasts a superbly shaped long shaft, treads and a dished blade which helps to carry more material.

Traditional Bamboo Lawn and Leaf Rake. These too are recreations from our 1930’s Catalogues. As well as looking fascinating, they are deceptively strong, light and highly effective in use.
