Gardener's World 1

The BBC Gardeners World Live Show afforded us an excellent opportunity to get out of the office and meet some proper gardeners. The weather was perfect and the crowds of visitors were treated to an excellent display of Show Gardens and thought provoking staged events.

On the Joseph Bentley stand we exhibited the Worlds Largest Garden Spade and held demonstrations of our garden tools as well as showing children how to plant and care for seeds. It was very encouraging to talk to so many budding young gardeners and particularly to parents who had set aside an area of proper garden

for their own Gardener's Apprentices.

It was lovely to meet so many enthusiastic and positive gardeners. We really do act on your suggestions. Indeed, our Graduate Range of "Ladies" Spades and Forks was developed as a direct result of last years show! We will be delighted to report on the launch of those tools developed as a result of this years show.

Our grateful thanks must go to Unwins Seeds, Plantpak and Scotts for generously donating their products and helping the event to be such a phenomenal success.

As you will see from the photos, great fun was had by all! Particularly Auntie Karen, below left, who will be auditioning for a starring role as a Blue Peter presenter, and Uncle Ian who will be having a "little lie down" to recover!
