We were inspired by an ancient Asparagus Knife to develop these elements to the range.
The Asparagus Knife is essentially an agricultural saw designed to cut below the level of the soil. Ideal for harvesting Asparagus Spears it also cuts through rhizomes such as spreading Bamboo. The rugged carbon steel blade is manufactured in Sheffield and features hardened teeth to ensure long lived and consistent performance.
The Herbaceous Knife clearly inherits many design influences from its agricultural cousin, but is completely new. Created from high grade stainless steel the long bladed knife is sharp and perfect for cropping vegetables such as courgettes where the congested stems and silica filaments are a major irritation and also slicing through the decaying foliage remaining once bulbs and herbaceous plants are past their best. The superb innovative curved and serrated tip ensures that any fibres remaining after the smooth pass of the blade are severed - effortlessly! Once experienced, you will wonder how you ever managed without it!
The Kitchen Cropping Knife is a useful little brother designed for harvesting Herbs and soft stemmed roses and flowers. Scissors and Secateurs can sometimes be unwieldy and a nuisance - the tool is light, precise and perfect for the task.
