The Cottage Garden Cutting Range look immensely stylish, redolent of genteel quality, but also functions efficiently with strong handles, sharp blades and no unnecessary gismos! Recent additions include two handed pruners and some superb ergonomically shaped cutters.
The small cutting tools comprise Traditional Secateurs and Snips. The Secateurs have a strong blade and stock design that is suited to thicker hard stems. The Snips are more like scissors, with narrow blades ideal for precision cutting of soft stems. The Snips work really well in most Floristry applications. The handles are very special. They have a solid metal core for strength and are clad with Ash inserts stained to a rich antique patina. The overall effect is superb!
We have also taken the unusual step of producing the designs in both traditional carbon steel and stainless steel. The stainless steel looks truly amazing, but may require to be sharpened a little more often. The Secateurs and Snips manufactured in both stainless and carbon steel are available in both 7” and 8” versions.
The larger Hand Shears share the same styling, having immensely strong solid metal cored handles, again clad with Ash. They too are constructed in both carbon and stainless steel. The metal cored handles change the traditional balance of the shears, moving the centre of gravity towards the wrists. This really does assist with both the balance and the cutting action. When using the shears the cutting action feels effortless! All but the most optimistically tackled stems are cut through with both precision and ease.
The Wavy Edged Hand Shears, crafted from traditional carbon steel, increase the effective blade cutting angles giving improved performance. They offer an alternative to the more usual straight bladed alternative.
The straight bladed shears are also available as a promotional twin pack packaged with matching Secateurs.
The Topiary Shears are truly sublime, forged from stainless steel, giving them a class and quality synonymous with their purpose. They too are effortless in use, looking and performing superbly.
